Bob Mehsikomer

 

Bob Mehsikomer is a 13-time world record release holder in the National Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame with releases in muskie, northern pike, and lake trout. Bob is Mr. Muskie, capturing more gigantic muskies on video than anyone thought was possible. As of 2008 Bob has 97 muskies 50-inches and better to his credit. Now that's a lot of BIG FISH! Bob specialize in "How To" Muskie Videos which are distributed nationally.

"Ranger Rick" Krueger

“Ranger” Rick Krueger has been fishing professionally since 1980 and is the owner of Guides Choice Pro Shop and lead educator for Guides Choice Fishing Schools in Eagle River WI. One of the original field editors for Musky Hunter Magazine, Rick has guided and /or educated hundreds of musky fisherman at his schools and seminars. Guiding in Vilas and Oneida counties for the past 29 years, Rick is a well known source of information on the subjects of muskie and walleye fishing in the Wisconsin Northwoods and Canada. Equally versed when talking about walleye or muskie, his seminars are very educational and entertaining.

To date he as spent 110 weeks on famous Lake Of The Woods and 76 weeks on Lac Seul in Ontario, educating muskie and walleye fishermen on those bodies of water. Guides Choice Fishing Schools are the original and longest running fishing schools in the industry and have lead many anglers to their personal best trophies.

Tasmin Kaliska

With over 12 years of experience as a fishing and hunting guide in northwestern Ontario, Canada, Tas is one of the few women in this field that has gained valuable knowledge in how to successfully fish Ontario waters for northern and walleye.  Tas provides valuable information, from what lures to use throughout different times of the year, triumphantly reeling in the BIG ONE and safely releasing that trophy!  Tas offers an abundance of on the water and in the field knowledge as she shares her first hand experiences of living in the north.

Mike Mladenik

   

Mike Mladenik is likely the Midwest's most knowledgeble smallmouth bass fisherman and the region's top guide. Each year his clients land at least 200 - 20+ inch smallmouths, with quite a few six pound hawgs in the count. Although best known for smallmouth bass, Mike also guides for musky and walleye.

Mike's been guiding for over 30 years in Northern Wisconsin. His expertise spans the bounty of rivers, reservoirs and lakes that draw anglers to the area year-round. He derives great satisfaction in teaching technique and location/weather analysis to clients.

Mike's not one to hoard a secret; in fact, few guides spend as much time teaching and coaching as Mike does. His seminar will focus on tips and techniques to take BIG fish - any fish any season!

LEE HAASCH

Captain Lee Haasch has fished the waters of Lake Michigan for over twenty years, guiding his clients to salmon, rainbows and lakers out of the Port Of Algoma. He will share the techniques that consistently put fish in the boat with his seminars, "Catching More Fish with Flashers and Flies," Planer Boards For More Kings" and "Catching Kings In Difficult Conditions." Mark Rottier

Michigan's Upper Peninsula is considered to some as the “midwest’s best kept muskie secret.”

Having previously guided in northern Wisconsin, 10 years ago Mark moved to Iron River MI and began guiding the Upper Peninsula. After a decade of “keeping it quiet” for the first time Mark is talking about his Michigan muskie fishing career .

Mark boated four 50 inchers for customers in the past two seasons, and has an outstanding record with an impressive 60 muskies over 48 inchers over the past 4 years for himself and his clients.

Rob Peterson

Rob Peterson, Owner of North Star Guide Service, is a Musky Guide, specializing in Soft Plastics, as well as guiding women, children, and anyone new to the sport of Musky Fishing. A Desert Storm Vet, Rob Takes this same diligence and work ethic to put his clients on fish. Rob's seminars are "Understanding Soft Plastics" and "Top To Bottom Fall Musky Madness."

Mat Hegy

 Eagle River guide Mat Hegy is a Guides Choice Pro Staff member and a G. C. Fishing School instructor. He has been guiding for 13 years. In that time he has helped many muskie fisherman catch fish up to 50 inches in northern Wisconsin and Canada. One of his passions is fishing for muskie in late fall.

While on a half day guide date this November Mat accomplished the nearly impossible. Guiding a father and two young sons, ages 6 and 10 years old, Mat boated a 45 and 47 inch muskie for each of the young fisherman!

He has “fine tuned” his approach to fall muskie fishing and can teach you tricks to surviving the elements. Mat will be sharing his late fall muskie fishing expertise in his seminars, “A Pro’s Secrets To Survival and Success”.

JASON GAURKE

Jason Gaurkee is native to the waters of Wisconsin and has fished them for over 30 years, with several catch and release world records. He specialized in smallmouth bass, walleye, catfish and muskies in river environments. In addition, Jason is an outdoor writer and has appeared in Wisconsin Outdoors,  In-Fisherman, On Wisconsin Outdoors, Musky Hunter, Field and Forrest, Outdoor Gazette and Hunting and Fishing New. Jason also hosted and co-hosted several television shows to include In-Fisherman, Outdoor Insight and It's Your Environment.

TRAVIS KOPKE

Travis Kopke is an avid musky fisherman that fishes a bit different than most anglers out there.  While most anglers are pounding the shallow structure Travis can be found out in the middle of the lake fishing for suspending muskies as well as fish relating to deep structure.  His techniques have allowed him to be a successful part time guide around the Vilas county area, as well as being successful in tournaments.  With over 15 years of experience, 10 years of experience pursuing deep water muskies, Travis is able to quickly turn non-believers into anglers questioning why they hadn't fished deep water earlier.
